Go back to:

  • Typing accented letters and other special characters
  • Reference materials
  • Introduction

At the LRC you may use Microsoft Word 2000 (SR-1) word processor to write compositions, papers, reports, etc. Special French and Spanish language modules are installed as well, so that you may do spell checking in those languages, as well as consult a thesaurus in those languages.

To start up Word 2000, double-click on the Word icon on the Windows desktop. You can also open the program from the ProgramLinks folder.

The toolbar and the main buttonbars of Word 2000 as installed on LRC computers differs somewhat from the standard ones. For that reason, we are providing an explanation of the major differences here for your convenience.
