Language Tutoring

Year around, tutors from the Tutor Program of the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) (LIB 436) that have been approved by the World Languages & Cultures Department will be working at the LRC helping foreign language students with their class work. Tutoring sessions are by appointment only. In the spring semester, Spanish tutors will be provided by the Department of World Languages & Cultures. Fill out the form below to request an appointment.

Every spring semester, the LRC also hosts Spanish tutors from the class SPN 380 Peer Tutoring.

If you are taking SPN 101, SPN 102, SPN 201, SPN 202, or SPN 351, then you are at the right place. Skip to the next section on this page.

Otherwise, go here for instructions on getting a tutor using TutorTrack.

For SPN 101, SPN 102, SPN 201, SPN 202, or SPN 351, read these instructions and fill out the form below:

  • The times the tutors are usually available are shown next to their names
  • Request a one hour appointment during the hours that the tutor is available (half-hour appointments may also be possible)
  • The appointment is not set until you you get a confirmation from the tutor that he or she is available at that time and you have replied to that message yourself
  • All tutoring must take place at the Language Lab (Sullivan Building 117) unless cleared with Dr. Aske first
  • If you need to cancel an appointment you need to notify the tutor at least 24 hours in advance
  • If you miss an appointment without cancelling 24 hours prior to the appointment, you may be banned from making any further appointments
  • This form will be sent first to Dr. Aske, who will forward the request to the appropriate tutor. If the tutor you request doesn't get in touch with you within 24 hours, please contact Dr. Aske directly.
