Chat

Introduction

Chat-rooms are an excellent way for people to communicate with others in virtual space in real time (synchronous communication). A chat room typically has a topic or purpose, and for language learners the purpose may just be to chat with people in the language they're learning to practice, or to communicate with speakers of that language.

Currently the LRC supports a chatrooms through eGroups, connected to the different lists offered there, and in particular the Spanish and French Virtual Language Tables, which are for listmembers only, which must be SSC students or faculty:
